About us

Even though it's all about YOU, here's a little bit about us!

People and happy, positive occasions are my passion! Along with my passion for joining two people together in marriage, I love my garden lifestyle block in Waikanae. It gives me great pleasure to share my 'special place' with others, whether that is a wedding ceremony, charity event, fairy party or a high tea.

I have lived on the Kapiti Coast for most of my life and have a strong connection to the community and area. Most Saturday mornings I'll be on my pink scooter, looking for something to re-furbish and restore for event hire or myself, hanging out with my grandkids, or entertaining friends in my garden! That's if I don't have a wedding in my garden or I'm performing a ceremony!

I love keeping busy and although my weekends are full to the brim, I also have a fantastic part-time job working for a Montessori pre-school in Waikanae during the week, which I love. I've even been a volunteer fire fighter!

I'm really approachable, relaxed and can read people really well. I like to make each and every couple I meet feel comfortable and relaxed about their big day. I love hearing new ideas and approaches for the wedding ceremony, and am happy to put my two cents in if needed.

I’m a romantic at heart, and love to surround myself with positive people and joyous occasions. My passion is creating amazing experiences - grandiose or on an intimate level - for all walks of life. I love meeting new people and I love making a difference.

In a previous life, I have been a wedding coordinator, an event manager, a project manager and have even worked in the Bahamas and Europe for Elle Macpherson as her butler/event manager/PA!  I did this for two years - doting on their every request at the highest level. In this type of work and industry you adapt to thinking ahead of the game, rolling up your sleeves, being super organised, perfecting even the smallest of details and quietly blending into the background when you are hosting the likes of Richard Gere for lunch, or Mick Jagger for an entire week!

Although being a celebrant is not my full-time job (I tutor children with learning difficulties part-time), I relish in the fact that on my days off I get to tap into my skills and expertise from a previous life and use that experience to contribute to making your wedding day the perfect day. I get to be the glue that holds it together, the person that calms the nerves and is genuinely excited about the journey you are both about to embark on – it’s about having fun, enjoying the moment and knowing that you can trust me to be that safe pair of hands behind the scenes before and on the day. Oh, and of course the person whose job it is to cross the t’s, dot the i’s and make it official!!
